Pumpkin flowers are fascinating ... not only their vibrant color and distinct design, but also how finicky they are about opening. I'll have to do some research, but it appears that the flowers open for only a day or so. I tried doing a little hand-pollinating but gave up and decided that the few bugs on the deck could do a much better job.
